Unit Position Summary
The Litchman Lab at Kellogg Biological Station in Hickory Corners, MI is seeking a remote, temporary research technician to assist with data collection and input for an ongoing project. The primary responsibility will be to use CellPathfinder software to analyze microscopy images, identify cyanobacteria genera, and perform accurate cell counts.
Responsibilities: Quantitatively analyze microscopic images from a lab experiment and document changes in cell counts across different time points
Analyze microscopy images using CellPathfinder.
Identify cyanobacteria genera and count cells with precision.
Record and organize data in project databases.
Communicate progress and any issues to the research team.
Desired Qualifications
Familiarity with microscopy images and basic cell biology preferred.
Prior experience with image analysis software (CellPathfinder or similar) is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Reliable internet connection and ability to work independently.
