About the Role
It is the responsibility of the Marketing Assistant to provide marketing and communication support to all of the Savant Group. The position requires a friendly, creative, and motivated individual that can welcome new challenges and bring new ideas. It is essential that the Marketing Assistant has strong attention to detail, varied knowledge of online platforms, and ability to strategize the organization’s marketing goals. This position will also be responsible for preparing marketing materials and strong communications in various ways to support the organization’s overall image.

Key Responsibilities:
- Creates, develops, designs, and communicates all marketing materials such as advertising documents, brochures, flyers, booklets, internal documentation, and others.
- Builds, maintains, and strengthens elements of communication, identifies gaps or changes as necessary.
- Maintains, monitors, and promotes the Savant Group on all social media pages and/or platforms (i.e. increases awareness, maintains distribution, promotes recruiting, events or other activities.
- Monitors Savant Group websites and ecommerce; makes necessary changes when instructed.
- Acts as the company’s photographer for new employees and company events. May assist with products or instruments as necessary.
- Maintains care and maintenance for all photography equipment; maintains stock photo database.
- Maintains all marketing and promotional materials for the Savant Group. Communicates to the head of marketing for budget allowance and ordering approval.
- Conducts basic collection of all Savant Group analytics (i.e., media, websites, social media) and insights on effectiveness of tactics and other key metrics as necessary.
- Works closely with the head of marketing to coordinate and plan customer visits and/or training events.
- Assists with registration for the Savant Group’s trade shows that align with the business objectives as necessary.
- Works with third party companies on marketing projects
- Daily use of Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Publisher. Other software may include Adobe Creative Suite or other graphic design software. Photo editing software such as Photoshop
- Regular use of WordPress, Google Analytics configuration, reporting and campaign building.
- Assists with the preparation and implementation of training events for both domestic and international customers and/or distributors when necessary. May also be involved with coordination of attendance, presentations/topics, shipping inventory or other factors.
- Gathers and maintains feedback received from training events, provides recommendations, and recommends changes as necessary.
- Other administrative and sales support duties as requested.
Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or equivalent experience.
- At least one year of experience in marketing and communications with a concentration in marketing content and digital marketing.
- Strong ability to effectively and efficiently use all marketing applications including but not limited to: Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Buffer, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Google Analytics. Other software may include graphic design programs, social media management programs and basic video editing software.
- Strong working knowledge with WordPress, Google reporting, campaign building and SEO best practices preferred.
- Ability to work independently or as a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and work through last-minute changes as necessary.
- Proven ability to work globally including experience working with channels and demonstrated experience with tradeshows, conferences, and roadshows.
- Proven ability in writing in both a technical and conversational style, as well as content creation and copywriting skills.
- Possess a self-starter and can-do attitude. Ability to take the initiative without being told what to do in every situation.
