Maintenance & Repair Technician - This full time position will provide the routine building operations and maintenance thereof. Direct the operation of the building maintenance program. Exercise independent judgment subject to evaluation results. Utilize maintenance work order tracking software to monitor, repair, install, replace, maintain and alter all community buildings. Ability to read and discuss building, mechanical and electrical documents and specifications. Review the daily schedule of work orders and maintenance requests; and perform the required maintenance requested. Perform the preventative maintenance on buildings and facilities. Respond to after hour and weekend emergencies.
QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent. Must possess a valid MI. driver’s license and a home telephone. CAD experience preferred. Must meet one or more of the following licensing and certification requirements: HVAC Mechanical Contractor; Boiler Technician/Installer; Building Inspector; and/or Licensed Contractor. Five years full time experience as a trades worker and at least five years’ experience in a supervisory capacity (construction or business management related work experience may also qualify for consideration) required. Experience in facility mapping, site drawings, construction documents and RFP bid processes required.
