The Project Manager / Lead Project Engineer directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for the planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of customer projects within their assigned area of responsibility. This role involves managing all aspects of project execution, either personally or through subordinate project engineers, to ensure that customer and company objectives are met on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and manage customer projects from inception through completion.

Coordinate project activities and resources to meet technical, cost, and schedule requirements.

Provide leadership and guidance to subordinate project engineers.

Oversee integration of mechanical, controls, and process systems across departments.

Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.

Ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.

Communicate effectively with internal teams, customers, and suppliers.

Prepare and maintain project documentation, schedules, and status reports.

Support continuous improvement and standardization of engineering and project management practices.
Education & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Engineering or a related technical field from a four-year college or university.

5–10 years of related experience in a relevant business segment (e.g., Body-in-White, Chassis/Glass, Special Welding).

Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
