About the Job
The Project Engineer is responsible for reviewing sketches and designs, managing system processes, and ensuring that all assigned projects are designed to perform effectively and cost-efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of customer design and build specifications while assisting the Project Manager in organizing, supervising, and monitoring all engineering activities.
Key Responsibilities

Review sketches, designs, and system processes for assigned projects.

Design systems that meet performance goals and cost targets.

Assist the Project Manager in coordinating all engineering activities.

Schedule and facilitate detailed equipment concept and proposal review meetings with Advance Processing, Mechanical, and Controls Engineering teams.

Create, review, and track process deliverables.

Organize and lead internal and customer design review meetings.

Review layouts and designs with design vendors and internal engineering departments.

Coordinate meetings between design groups and other departments as needed.

Lead formal design review meetings between the customer’s representatives and the company project team.

Support the manufacturing kick-off meeting and advise manufacturing on customer requests and specifications.

Monitor the release of all drawings through the company business system.

Respond to inquiries from build suppliers and shop personnel regarding engineering issues.

Ensure all “As Built” and non-conformance updates are incorporated into drawings as provided by build and site supervisors.

Maintain all component information and drawings for assigned projects.

Schedule and review FMEAs and ERGOs at the rough sketch and 40% design completion stages as required.

Ensure designs are cost-effective and meet quality and performance standards.

Track and report engineering progress to the Project Manager.

Review controls line-ups for accuracy and completeness.

Collect and evaluate data related to engineering changes to determine project impact and support cost negotiations.

Adhere to all safety and environmental regulations and identify potential concerns.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives as part of the Quality System.

Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Experience & Physical Requirements

Frequently required to stand, sit, use hands, talk, or hear.

Occasionally required to walk.

Must be able to lift/move up to 10 lbs frequently and up to 25 lbs occasionally.
