Position Title: SAS Viya Platform Engineer
Location: Hybrid Dearborn MI

12 Month Contract
$50-60/HR
Position Overview:
We are seeking a SAS Viya Platform Engineer to lead the design, development, and orchestration of the SAS Viya platform on a Zero Trust Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment. This role involves collaborating with architects and cross-functional teams to ensure high performance, scalability, and maintainability of the SAS infrastructure, while driving innovation and user experience improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end architecture and deployment of the SAS Viya platform on GCP, ensuring alignment with Zero Trust principles.
- Collaborate with architects to plan and execute technology refresh projects, optimizing infrastructure for performance and scalability.
- Enhance user experience through seamless URL management, analytics integration, localization, and component interoperability.
- Drive continuous improvement of the reusable SAS Dataset library.
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration and development across multiple products.
- Establish scalable development processes that enforce Ford standards and support dynamic content needs.
- Mentor junior engineers, lead code reviews, and promote best practices in code quality, testing, and performance optimization.
- Partner with product owners and stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and Inner Source contributions.
- Prioritize the creation of engaging, tailored user experiences that deliver measurable business outcomes.
Required Skills & Experience:
- SAS Software: 5+ years as a SAS Administrator; SAS Viya experience preferred
- Java: 10+ years of core Java API development
- Cloud Computing: 5+ years building Docker containers and deploying to OpenShift
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP): 5+ years, including Cloud Run
- PostgreSQL: 2+ years
