Position Title: Cook
Location: Middle/High School
Start Date: Immediately
Classification: Term Position (Not a new position)
Reports To: Food Service Director and/or Superintendent of Schools
Work Schedule:

Hours: 5.25 hours per day (7:45 AM – 1:30 PM, or as assigned)

Lunch: ½-hour unpaid lunch

Days: Monday – Friday, on student attendance days only
Compensation & Benefits:

Union Transfer: Wages per Master Contract

New Hire Rate: $15.85 per hour

Benefits: Eligible for Category 2 benefits
Responsibilities:
-
Prepare foods as directed
-
Assist with all kitchen-related duties including preparation and cleanup

Maintain production records, food deposits, and documentation as required

Follow directives from the Food Service Director and/or Superintendent
Qualifications:

High school diploma and minimum 10th-grade reading level
-
SafeServ Certified or able to obtain certification within 90 days

Experience preparing and serving food to large groups

Knowledgeable in volume cooking practices

Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

Ability to maintain composure and professionalism when interacting with students, staff, and families

Demonstrates a positive, team-oriented attitude

Must meet job-specific qualifications as outlined in the job description
