Wellspring Lutheran Services is a statewide nonprofit dedicated to serving seniors, families and children throughout Michigan. We are currently seeking a Life Enrichment Manager to join our team at our Fairview Skilled Nursing and Rehab Campus. In this role, you will lead and implement meaningful life enrichment programs that promote engagement, purpose and well-being for residents in a supportive, team-based environment.
Responsibilities
As a Life Enrichment Manager with Wellspring–Fairview, you will plan and oversee programs that enhance residents’ physical, social, emotional and spiritual wellness. Our Life Enrichment Managers:
- Plan, coordinate and implement group and individual activity programs tailored to residents’ interests, abilities and needs.
- Complete enrichment assessments and individualized activity plans for new residents.
- Monitor and document participation, engagement and outcomes for each program.
- Organize special events, entertainment and volunteer programs.
- Provide leadership and supervision to Life Enrichment Aides (2), including scheduling, training and performance feedback.
- Attend Care Plan Conferences and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
- Manage activity supplies, budgets and monthly program calendars.
- Coordinate transportation for community outings and facility events.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations related to resident activities.
- Participate in department meetings, trainings and continuing education.
- Work flexible hours including some evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy or related field preferred (not required).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in activities, life enrichment, or senior services preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication and leadership skills.
- Positive, flexible attitude and commitment to resident-centered care.
- Willingness to obtain the following (paid by Wellspring):
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Chauffeur’s license to operate the activities bus.
- CTRS (Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist) certification preferred; Wellspring will pay for and support certification upon hire if not already obtained.
Schedule and Compensation
- Employment type: Full-time, Day Shift, 8 hour shifts
- Starting salary: $45,700 / year ($22.00 / hour), based off of experience, certifications and licensure.
- Flexible scheduling for occasional evening and weekend events.
