Primary Duties:
Shipping
• Ensure shipping paperwork is completed per customer requirements. Communicate to Customer Representatives regarding shipment status. Utilize customer websites to ensure customer requirements met. Adhere to all Customer and/or 3rd Party RFID / Scanning systems.
• Communicate critical situations timely, such as critical component arrival, zero packaging returns and outbound expedite status
• Process all internal Ship Requests, including arranging transportation and preparing shipping paperwork
• Coordinate outbound window times and dock assignments. Communicate regarding status to customer or carrier rep.
• Adjust shipping system to account for changing customer order numbers
• Resolve all customer invoice discrepancies, utilizing Problem Solving methodology to prevent recurrence
Receiving
• Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of receipts from Niles' entire supply base, per JSOX requirements
• Process Customer Returns, timely and accurately per SOP
• Coordinate inbound window times and dock assignments with suppliers / carriers
Inventory Accuracy
• Maintain inventory accuracy through accurate and timely inventory transactions, utilizing computers and scan guns in SAP. Provide Inventory Confidence Counts as requested. Conduct inventory counts of supplies for ordering/replenishment to prevent shortages, utilizing Min/Max where applicable
Training / Continuous Improvement
• Provide support to team members as the subject matter expert on areas such as SAP, Shipping, Receiving and Inventory Control
• Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset, leading, supporting and developing team members. Adhere to plant and materials department 5S standards. Utilize the Quick Kaizen process for incremental improvements. Lead and/or support problem solving methodologies, including root cause analysis.
• Lead and/or support ILWO principles for productivity improvements
