About the Role
B&M Ashman is seeking a Customer Service/Billing Specialist to join our team in Onaway, MI. While this is a B&M Ashman position, we are subcontracted to provide services on behalf of Lakeshore Fiber, a fast-growing provider of high-speed fiber internet.
In this role, you'll support Lakeshore Fiber customers by assisting with account management, billing inquiries, and general customer service. If you're organized, friendly, and enjoy working in a small team environment, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming customer calls, emails, and in-person inquiries
- Assist customers with billing questions, payments, and account updates
- Understand and clearly explain prorated bills and service charges
- Resolve customer account issues and follow up as needed
- Help customers with tickets, upgrades, and cancellations
- Keep accurate records in internal systems
- Work closely with the Lakeshore Fiber team to coordinate service and support
What We're Looking For
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to understand and explain billing details, including prorated charges
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Comfortable using office software (Excel, email, basic databases)
- Previous experience in customer service or billing is preferred
- Sonar or RingCentral experience a plus

Location: Onaway, MI (This is an in-person position)
Schedule: Full-Time or Part Time, Monday–Friday
Compensation: $16-$18
