The Purchase Order Expeditor is responsible for monitoring the status of open purchase orders, following up with suppliers, and ensuring compliance with project timelines and contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Order Management: Ensure that all purchase orders (POs) are processed and tracked from issuance to delivery, maintaining accurate records in the system.
• Supplier Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for suppliers to expedite the delivery of materials, resolve any delays, and ensure the timely procurement of parts.
• Monitoring & Reporting: Regularly track open orders, identify potential delays, and provide status updates to procurement teams and project managers.
• Documentation & Compliance: Ensure all documentation related to purchase orders is accurate, compliant with defense contracting regulations, and processed within specified timelines.
• Problem Resolution: Address and resolve issues related to delayed shipments, quality control concerns, or discrepancies between order and delivery.
• Inventory Coordination: Work closely with inventory control teams to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent shortages that could affect project timelines.
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Coordinate with various internal departments, including manufacturing, engineering, and logistics, to ensure timely procurement of critical materials.
