If so, the Copper Country Intermediate School District seeks a dedicated Career and Technical Education (CTE) Health Sciences Teaching Assistant to join their team in Hancock, Michigan inspiring and guiding high school students on their journey into the world of healthcare.
As a Health Sciences Teaching Assistant, you’ll be a vital part of our educational team, working alongside knowledgeable and dedicated educators to support high school students in understanding the world of health sciences in our CTE CNA and Health Careers programs. You’ll work in classrooms, labs and clinical sites, providing guidance and encouragement to our students while assisting the lead instructor(s).
WHAT WE OFFER.
- $35,700 – $49,900 minimum annual starting salary based on education and experience.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.
- Supplemental Nurse Aide Instructor: a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of 1,600 hours of nursing experience in a long-term care-related field required.
- Preference given to RN’s with at least 2 years (4,000 hours) of recent and relevant experience in an occupational area of instruction and who qualifies as a primary instructor to teach a Nurse Aide program.
- Eligible as a Substitute Teacher and willing to obtain a Michigan substitute teaching permit.
- Certified CPR Trainer, or able to obtain certification within the first year of hire if selected for this position.
- Must have excellent communication skills necessary for success in the healthcare profession.
- Experience working with a team to collect, interpret, and use data to make decisions.
- Demonstrates interpersonal skills to interact with students, staff, and parents effectively.
- Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to details, organize, prioritize, and work independently, as well as schedule and produce work in a timely manner.
- Ability to be flexible and maintain confidentiality.
