We're seeking a Field Service Start-Up Technician to join our team and support the installation, commissioning, and service of automated finishing systems throughout the U.S. This is a field-based position with frequent travel. Candidates can reside anywhere in the U.S., as long as they are within one hour of a regional or major airport. What You'll Do * Assist with mechanical installation and start-up of new systems at customer sites * Conduct equipment commissioning, calibration, and functional testing * Troubleshoot and debug industrial control systems, including sensors, PLCs, HMIs, and related components * Respond to field service calls and resolve technical issues on-site * Perform preventive maintenance, system audits, and support upgrade projects * Interface directly with customers, providing technical guidance and training as needed * Work closely with project management and engineering to ensure successful installs * Document service activities and maintain detailed reports * Travel up to 75% (domestic, with occasional international opportunities) What You Bring * Experience in mechanical assembly, field service, or equipment commissioning * Familiarity with industrial controls (PLCs, HMIs, sensors, relays, etc.) * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams * Strong problem-solving and communication skills * Self-motivation and ability to work independently in the field * Willingness and ability to travel frequently * Must live within 1 hour of a major or regional airport * Valid U.S. driver's license and clean driving record Why Koch Finishing Systems? * Competitive salary and travel per diem * Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401k, and more) * Ongoing training and professional development * Work with cutting-edge industrial equipment and a supportive, experienced team * Make a direct impact on high-profile customer projects
