Starting Salary Range: $94,000.00 - $114,700.00
Position Summary:
Responsible for administering and evaluating the success of the BWL’s Carbon Neutrality Programs, including Energy Waste Reduction, Renewable Energy, Demand Response, and/or Electric Vehicle Programs. This includes program design, development, daily administration, public education and outreach, analysis of data, and reporting of program metrics. This position interacts with multiple BWL departments, external contractors, customers, and the greater Lansing community to ensure the success of program delivery and participation and support the utility’s carbon neutrality goals.
Essential Functions:

Administer BWL customer-oriented carbon neutrality programs including energy waste reduction, customer owned renewable energy, electric vehicles, and other programs.

Oversee daily operations of BWL’s customer oriented renewable and carbon-based programs.

Oversee evaluation processes associated with the success of programs such as energy waste reduction, distributed generation, customer rebates and incentives, and other carbon neutrality related programs.

Attend public meetings and make public presentations to promote regarding BWL’s carbon neutrality programs.

Collaborate with trade allies, outside contractors and community groups, and oversee outreach coordination to promote BWL carbon neutrality programs.

Develop and execute marketing tactics and networking strategies to promote Carbon Neutrality programs and initiatives.

Develop, maintain, and report statistics that measure the performance for the company carbon neutrality and clean energy goals, including state and federal reporting requirements and requests.

Support the strategic objectives of BWL through data analysis and reporting when requested, such as for integrated resource planning.

Keep abreast of new regulations, technological developments, programs, and grant and funding sources in areas of responsibility, and communicate information effectively internal and external to the company

Maintain budget and quarterly variance reports and reports to company leadership as requested.

Develop materials for and participate in request for proposals (RFPs) for outside contractors, vendors, and services

Required to follow BWL Safety Manual and wear personal protective equipment as required.

Attend training for safety awareness or skills improvement as required by BWL or governmental agency such as MIOSHA.

Expected to comply with all BWL policies and work rules.
