Job Title: Supervisor (Extrusion) - Nights
Location: Grand Rapids, MI
Position Summary
The Supervisor plays a critical role in leading and managing the production team, ensuring smooth operations, maintaining high-quality standards, and fostering a positive work environment. With the ability to manage all tasks within their department, the Supervisor can step in for any role, from Extrusion Tech I up to Extrusion Lead. Responsibilities include setting up and managing an efficient crew, handling attendance occurrences, conducting employee development discussions, managing disciplinary actions, overseeing schedules and timesheets, submitting shift forecasts and production numbers, and completing daily Leader Standard Work sheets provided by the production manager.

Key Responsibilities
The Supervisor is expected to possess strong leadership and communication skills, effectively communicate with team members and management, and actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
With the ability to step in for any role within their department, the Supervisor ensures smooth operations and maintains an elevated level of performance and efficiency within the production team.
Safety & Compliance
Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety procedures and protocols.
Adhere to PPE, BRC, and GMP policies to ensure employee safety, regulatory compliance, and product integrity.
Identify and report any safety hazards or concerns.
Lead and Manage an Efficient Crew
Set up and manage the production team to ensure efficient operations and productivity.
Place employees in appropriate roles to optimize workflow and productivity.
Manage Attendance Occurrences
Monitor and manage attendance occurrences, including tardiness and absenteeism, according to company policies and procedures.
Employee Development Discussions
Conduct sit-downs with employees to discuss their development goals and provide guidance and support as needed.
Manage Disciplinary Actions
Address quality and non-quality concerns promptly and effectively, implementing disciplinary actions as necessary in accordance with company policies.
Manage Schedules and Timesheets
Manage employee schedules to ensure adequate coverage and adherence to production demands.
Oversee timesheet submissions and approvals using the Dayforce system.
Submit Shift Forecasts and Production Numbers
Prepare and submit shift forecasts and production numbers at the end of each shift, providing accurate data for reporting and analysis.
Collect End of Shift Papers
Collect end-of-shift papers from employees, ensuring that all tasks are completed and recorded accurately.
Complete Leader Standard Work Sheets
Daily completion of Leader Standard Work sheets provided by the production manager to ensure adherence to operational standards and performance metrics.
Qualifications

Adhere to physical requirements, including being able to lift 55lbs above waist level, ascend and descend several flights of stairs to perform certain tasks, and be on your feet for up to 12 hours.
