Mental Health Supervisor (State Facility and Forensic Intensive Case Management)

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under general supervision of the Director of Services for Persons with Mental Illness, provides clinical and administrative supervision to the operation of the State Facility and Forensic Intensive Case Management team. Collaborates closely with the Supervisor of the Centralized Access and Intake Unit, the Supervisor of the Crisis Intervention Services, and the Manager of Utilization Care Authorizations to assure that consumers involved through forensic, and consumers recently discharged from State facilities, receive intensive services which allow them to be successful in the community. Oversees the day-to-day operations of the unit and monitors service delivery, including collaboration with Saginaw County Mental Health Court program. This position will be knowledgeable about and actively support culturally competent recovery-based practices; person centered planning as a shared decision making process with the individual, who defines his/her life goals and is assisted in developing a unique path toward those goals; and a trauma informed culture of safety to aid consumer in the recovery process.
WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT:
Works in office/clinic. Working with individuals with mental illness can be dangerous with possible injury to themselves and others. May counsel individuals who may become potentially violent.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: A licensed master’s social worker (LMSW), licensed professional counselor (LPC), licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) and licensed psychologist (LP).
Experience: Previous supervisory experience in a clinical mental health or related organization preferred. Previous administrative experience preferred. A minimum of three (3) years relevant professional clinical experience, in mental health treatment programs, serving adults with serious mental illness.
Licenses and Certifications: Valid Michigan Driver’s license with a good driving record.

CAADC or must obtain CAADC within 3 years of hire.
