The Human Resource Generalist is accountable for the delivery of talent management activities for the Bank. This position requires expertise in learning and development, employee relations, recruitment and selection, career development, performance coaching, communication and compliance. General knowledge of all HR functional areas, regulations, and compliance directives is also necessary. The HR generalist advises and coaches managers regarding human resource management and performance.
We are seeking someone to perform the following:
- Source and facilitate the selection of talent.
- Ensure that talent acquired is a strong match to position requirements by developing and enforcing effective selection methods such as assessments, interviewer skills, reference and background checking, etc.
- Plan and coordinate learning and development programs that enhance the necessary competency and management skills of Bank employees.
- Conduct training or engage vendor training as appropriate and affordable.
- Develop or update training programs and materials to ensure that they are current and make the best use of available resources.
- Advise managers on employee relations issues. Conduct investigations as necessary and required.
- Work with managers and supervisors on issues regarding staffing or restructuring projects, coaching and counseling for performance, policy violations, etc.
- Advise and coach managers on pay and reward issues.
- Conduct job analysis on new or changed positions and make recommendations for pay adjustments in accordance with pay policy and practice.
- Manage the performance plan and review process ensuring that Managers are trained to conduct proper performance reviews and to create and monitor performance plans through the year.
- Establish and monitor Career Paths within the Bank.
The candidate must have:
- Bachelor Degree – focus in Human Resources or related field, HR certification preferred.
- Five to eight years specific Human Resource experience in progressively responsible positions, to include demonstrated expertise in learning and development, employment, employee relations, and compensation.
- Current knowledge in HR Compliance.
