Overview
Set-up and adjust power presses to perform operations such as punch, blank, notch, shear, form, draw, upset, coin rivet, etc, on a diversified line of work having close dimensional and work quality requirements.
**Pay rate commensurate with experience**
**2nd shift premium = $1.50 p/hr.**
**Sign-on Bonus $1,000**
**Paid Vacation upon hire, Benefits after 30 days**
**Work week is 4 - 10hr. days, Mon. through Thurs., overtime on Fri./Sat. (as needed)**
Work Schedule: 2pm - 12/midnight
Responsibilities
Set up of line tools. Position, align and secure dies by bolting bottom section to press bed or bolster plate and upper section to ram; set up and ensure the proper operation of safety operating devices.
Set up and synchronize automatic material feed for dimensional and press ram action, including roll, hitch, dial and magazine mechanisms, and load material on reels or in bins.
Operate press to produce pilot pieces for inspection of hole size, dimensions, contours, shape, etc.
Use and interpretation of scale, square, check fixtures, calipers and related inspection equipment, micrometers, patterns and samples to set up presses, check work and perform SPC.
Perform routine P.M.s and responsible for housekeeping of work areas.
Packing items produced into cartooning or containers.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of three months related work experience
Able to do simple math
Good verbal and written skills
Be able to move/lift up to 50 pounds
Must be able to work in the United States
Able to perform tasks requiring repetitive bending, twisting, turning, lifting, pushing, and reaching, and able to stand the entire shift
