Kinross Fab and Machine is hiring! We are looking for a Quality Control Inspector
The Quality Control Inspector ensures that all fabricated products meet company standards and customer specifications through rigorous inspection and testing. This role involves examining materials, components, and finished goods throughout the production process, using precision tools and documentation to identify defects and support continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication specifications.
- Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Document inspection results and maintain quality records.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
- Ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with quality control procedures and documentation.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel, quality management software).
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Individuals should also be fluent with a tape measure and be able to self-transport to work. Shifts are generally 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m with overtime available.
