Janitorial Area Manager

Are you a detail-oriented leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment?

In this dynamic role, you will oversee a team of cleaning professionals, ensuring exceptional service across multiple counties and numerous customer locations throughout Mid-Michigan working out of our corporate office in Saginaw.

Purpose: Ensuring safe and efficient operations by managing accounts and employees to deliver high-quality services and maintain the company's profitability.

What You'll Do:

• Lead and motivate a team of janitorial staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Develop and maintain efficient cleaning schedules, prioritizing quality and time management.
• Conduct regular quality control inspections, ensuring all cleaning tasks are completed to the highest standards.
• Manage inventory control and requisition cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Maintain clear communication with clients, addressing questions and concerns promptly.
• Build relationships with clients based on trust and respect.
• Oversee employee performance, providing ongoing coaching and development opportunities.
• Ensure all safety requirements are fulfilled and identified; share best practices.
• Continually evaluate methods, procedures, and materials for purposes of improving performance and reducing the cost of operations. 
• Approve, schedule, and report extra billing work. 
• Maintain/schedule vehicle fleet, including preventive inspections and restorative repair. 
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
• Embrace a flexible full time work schedule, with potential for evenings and weekends.
• Must pass background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle driving check.

Education:

A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required. Associates degree or higher preferred.

What You Have:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a janitorial or related management/supervisory role.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent organizational skills and a proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality standards.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office and have the ability to learn other software programs.
• Valid driver's license.
• Be “POSITIVE & ENTHUSIASTIC” and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Must pass background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle driving check.
