Key Responsibilities
Assembly and Fabrication:
Fit and assemble components into sub-assemblies and complete machines according to engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications.
Tool Proficiency:
Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators to assemble and align parts.
Reading and Interpreting:
Analyze and understand technical documents, including blueprints, engineering memos, and specification manuals.
Component Installation:
Install major components such as pumps, motors, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic assemblies.
Quality Assurance:
Verify parts and assemblies for accuracy and conformance to stock lists and blueprints, and test the final product's functionality.
Troubleshooting:
Identify and resolve mechanical issues, providing feedback and documenting corrective actions to ensure proper machine operation.
