The Director of Digital Product Management will strategically lead and grow our digital product teams, driving innovation, transformation, and excellence. In this critical role, you will leverage your deep industry expertise to shape the digital product vision, champion agile transformation for BCBSM's digital products, and integrate advanced technologies, including AI and automation, to enhance customer experiences and drive measurable business outcomes. Responsible for overseeing and advancing the digital experience (DX) our members have with BCBSM, which includes web, mobile messaging, chatbots and other future digital engagement capabilities the company may need. * Define and execute a clear digital product vision and strategy aligned with overall business objectives. * Lead the rollout and evolution of robust product management practices, ensuring best-in-class frameworks, processes, and methodologies within the digital team. * Drive digital organizational transition to agile methodologies, mentoring teams, and instilling a culture of agility, continuous improvement, and customer-centric innovation. * Develop and implement the Digital strategy roadmap and establish portfolio-level priorities for work across products on an annual and quarterly basis. Guide and mentor Digital Product Owners and Functional Managers in establishing and implementing product-level strategies which align to the digital strategy. * Establish and monitor key performance indicators for digital products and major initiatives, and reports performance to senior leadership. * Develops, implements, and champions the DX mission, goals, and values in a clear and simple manner. * Oversee budget planning and resource allocation for all DX operations. * Monitors effectiveness of teams, processes, methods, and seeks opportunities for improvement. * Work closely with DX IT Director, EPO Portfolio Manager and DX Operations Manager to ensure scope of projects across Base and Capital are being completed in an efficient, effective manner. * Establishes and maintains relationships with internal stakeholders, constituents, and peers to understand their digital needs, business drivers, and plans. * Act as a liaison to business segments and IT leaders as it pertains to new requests for Digital project work. * Partner with IT leads to ensure priorities and complexity of work is being considered in estimation and resource planning to support Digital initiatives. * Oversee the implementation of programs, initiatives, and activities that foster innovation in terms of product, processes, culture, communications, etc. QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's Degree in related field required. Master's Degree preferred. * Ten (10) years of experience in planning, digital marketing and communications, with five (5) years focused on the digital space and customer experience field required. * Five (5) years of leadership experience required. * Ability to effectively lead, coach and develop team members. * Advanced verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills to successfully interact with internal and external audiences. * Demonstrated expertise in implementing and leading agile practices (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) across complex organizations. * Deep knowledge of AI-driven solutions and automation technologies, with hands-on experience integrating these capabilities into product strategies. * Exceptional strategic thinker with the ability to translate complex business challenges into actionable and impactful digital solutions. * Ability to provide big-picture strategic thinking, vision and insights to drive big ideas and initiatives in the digital and social media spaces * Ability to establish relationships within the organization and the broader business to understand key corporate initiatives and establish Digital plans to address those needs. * Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse stakeholders and executive leadership. * Advanced organizational, planning, analytical and problem-solving skills. * Ability to foster teamwork and work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
