The Position
Under the direction of the Executive Director of Operations, the Manager on Duty (MOD) will deliver excellent service to all members, guests, and program participants. The MOD will respond to member and guest needs, promote membership and programs, and maintain cleanliness and organization of facility, creating a positive experience for everyone. The MOD will work independently under general direction from the supervisor and is expected to be an effective problem solver, knowledgeable of programming and general member experience expectations. The MOD will serve as a building supervisor on site early morning, evening, and/or weekend shift work. The MOD must maintain high personal standards, and adhere to, and carry out, the Purpose and Values of Greater Midland.
Major Job Responsibilities
? Provide excellent service to members, guests, and program participants contributing to high member satisfaction and retention.
? Ensure building security; support membership team by assisting with identification verifications and check-in/out as necessary. Assist in prospective member tours.
? Review and carry out daily maintenance schedule to ensure all rooms and events are locked/unlocked and set- up according to the schedule.
? Assist in building maintenance, monitor locker rooms and re-supply/provide pick-up as needed, perform light cleaning, and assure set-up and tear-down for scheduled activities in program areas with the support of department staff.

? Provide high quality facility tours to prospective members and personally guide patrons to their events within the building while being friendly, courteous, and professional.
? Handle, count and properly record monetary transactions and ensure cash box amount is accurate.
? Inform guests about, and provide accurate information regarding facility services, programs, schedules, costs, membership, policies, and all other current events taking place across Greater Midland.
? Resolve conflicts, handle complaints, settle disputes and resolve grievances on Greater Midland properties.In the absence of other higher-ranking Director(s), provide building and department oversight.
? Facilitate and respond to emergency situations via emergency action plans and properly document situations with incident reports, including answering alarms and investigating disturbances.
? Ensure the facility is completely clear, empty, shut down and locked prior to closing; the MOD should be the last one to leave the building.
? Lead the Operating Units’ safety initiative by ensuring all First Aid packs are up to Greater Midland standards and facilitate annual building audits including AED/Fire Extinguisher checks and Fire Drill implementation.

Qualifications
? Strong interpersonal skills with ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
? Possess skills such as: time management, organizational, analytical, problem-solving and multitasking.
? CPR/First Aid required within 90 days of hire.
Physical Requirements
Office is located in the Greater Midland Community Center. Regular communication and contact with employees and members. Standing and/or walking for 4+ consecutive hours; bending, stooping, lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds may be required of this position.
Schedule
Availability Monday 2p – 10p, Saturday 5p to 9p, and every other Sunday 10a to 6p.
