As a Dining Services and Housekeeping Aide with the Fairview Skilled Nursing and Rehab Campus at Wellspring, you’ll be part of a team of nurses, CNAs and senior support staff committed to helping seniors and families in Fairview. In this position, you'll be directly supporting your community in Oscoda County to provide services to seniors. In this position, you will bring a high school diploma or equivalent, preferred. Prior housekeeping or dietary experience is helpful, but not required.
As a Dining Services and Housekeeping Aide, you will:
- Stock cart with cleaning equipment, supplies, and trash receptacle ensuring that all chemicals are labeled, and supplies are replenished according to job assignment guidelines; keep cleaning solutions changed according to job assignment
- Clean and follow schedule to assigned areas including: furnishings (movable and stationary), fixtures (dust, spot clean, polish or wash, disinfect when necessary), floors (dry mopping, wet mops, disinfect), wash and remake beds campus-wide; assist with laundry as needed
- Inspect and maintain furnishings and fixtures for wear and defects and report supply and equipment to Supervisor
- Straighten belongings, rooms and clean private resident restrooms (mirrors, sinks, toilets, soap dispensers) as directed by the resident
- Perform terminal cleaning duties according to established procedure in resident rooms when patient has been discharged or transferred, and prepare room for new occupant
- Perform emergency housekeeping where accidents occur
- Follow cleaning schedule abiding by Standard Precautions, hazardous waste handling and cleaning agent use policies and procedures
- Dining Rooms: Wash tables, chairs, mop floor, and clear tables after meals as needed
- Prepare workstation for tray line, including: preparing coffee, and pouring beverages, making toast, etc.
- Serve residents at designated tables following special diets, food and beverage preference, and intolerances
- Work position assigned in dish room, sweep and mop kitchen floor, take out trash, bus and wash tables in the dining rooms
