Our client is looking to hire a Business Analyst to assist with the client’s Grants Management System. The Grants Management System is comprised of about 100+ different grant applications that is responsible for over 2 billion dollars of payments to state educational entities.
The Business Analyst we are seeking will understand and has experience with the software development lifecycle as the BA will be managing work requests to support operational support needs for web applications and gather requirements for project initiatives. This role is the liaison between the technical team and the business client. This will be about 90% of the time for this resource.
Tasks
- Facilitate meetings with the technical team and business client.
- Gather requirements and project specifications by leading requirement sessions independently
- Maintain backlog of work items in Azure DevOps
- Must operate in a hybrid (Agile/Waterfall) environment and actively manage requirements, change requests and testing needs.
- Manage project tasks, timelines, and communication between business product owner and development team associated with the Change Management lifecycle
- Track sprints and ticket progress in Azure DevOps
- Ensure the team is adhering to the department change management policies
- Act as a liaison with auditors
- Maintain documentation on the project SharePoint Site.
- Provide management with information such as project status reports and resource demand projections.
- Work with team, management, and business partners to continuously improve the process.

NOTE: Local candidates (strongly preferred) or non-local (must be willing to relocate at their own expense from acceptance with no delays & follow the hybrid schedule). Resource will be working a hybrid schedule. NO REMOTE ONLY OPTION. Will need to be onsite from day 1, two days a week (Tuesdays/Wednesdays in office preferred). Candidate can be full time in office if desired. On-site interview required for 2nd round.
