Upper Peninsula Imaging is hiring a dependable and experienced Medical Office Coordinator to join their radiology team in Ishpeming, Michigan.
This position is ideal for someone organized, detail-oriented, and energized by keeping a busy team running smoothly. The Medical Office Coordinator supports our radiology department and is the heartbeat of our operations—helping our radiologists, technologists, and providers deliver excellent patient care.
WHAT WE OFFER.
- $20.00 – $28.00 per hour based on experience.

- In-office, full-time Monday-Thursday position working 8am-5pm (32 hours weekly).
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING.
You’ll be the go-to person for making sure reports, records, and communication all flow seamlessly. You work in a dedicated office, separate from the front desk. While there are phone calls you will tend to, there is no walk-in traffic. Your role is focused on supporting our radiologists and clinical staff directly.
- Oversee the transcription of radiology reports and support our transcription staff.
- Coordinate communication between radiologists, healthcare providers, and external facilities.
- Manage medical records, reports, and patient follow-ups.
- Handle scheduling, phone calls, and correspondence from clinics, physicians, and insurance companies.
- Keep the reading room organized so radiologists can stay focused on patient care.
- Support day-to-day operations such as ordering supplies, distributing mail, and managing department workflow.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR.
- Experience in a medical or healthcare office is required.
- Proficiency in medical transcription is required.
- Work experience in a radiology setting is preferred, but not required.
- A multitasker who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environment.
