About The Role
The Master Scheduler plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by developing, maintaining, and optimizing production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products while maximizing resource utilization. This position requires close collaboration with production, procurement, engineering, and sales teams to align manufacturing capabilities with customer demand and inventory targets. The Master Scheduler is responsible for analyzing production data, identifying bottlenecks, and proactively adjusting schedules to mitigate risks and minimize downtime. By maintaining accurate and up-to-date schedules, this role supports efficient workflow, reduces lead times, and enhances overall operational performance. Ultimately, the Master Scheduler ensures that manufacturing operations run smoothly, meeting both internal goals and customer expectations consistently.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in production scheduling or master scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with scheduling software and ERP systems - Plex would be a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across departments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a automotive manufacturing industry.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, macros, and data visualization.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed master production schedules based on sales forecasts, inventory levels, and production capacity.
- Communicate and interface with the customer on any issues which may affect delivery timing, 24 hour point of contact for customers
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including production, procurement, engineering, and sales to align schedules with business priorities.
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules proactively to address delays, equipment issues, or material shortages.
- Analyze historical data and production metrics to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Communicate schedule changes and updates clearly to all relevant stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment.
- Support inventory management by balancing production output with demand to optimize stock levels and reduce excess inventory.
- Utilize scheduling software and ERP systems to track and report on production status and key performance indicators.
- Participate in EC/CN and launch meetings and lead launch, ECN, and obsolescence events.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance scheduling accuracy and operational efficiency.
