Summary & Qualifications:
This position coordinates all Work & Career marketing under the umbrella of Extended Education & Training. The goal of this marketing is to fulfill the Sixty by 30 College & Career Navigator Support Grant attainment goal. This position plays a key role in creating and executing a strategic approach to marketing and promotion of blended credit and non credit pathways, across the 10 county region; a framework of offerings in an easily accessible and understandable format.
Executes marketing campaigns that grow visibility and awareness of both the NoMI Attainment Collaborative, and NMC credential and degree programs, leading to an increase in overall enrollment in credential and degree programs in the ten county region.
Provides key leadership in identifying marketing segments, designing and implementing marketing campaigns, and analyzing marketing data. Develops and manages all marketing and promotional processes, timelines, vendors, mailings, website updates and registration processes, and related activities relevant to the Northern Michigan Attainment Collaborative and NMC Extended Education Work & Career programming. This includes regular coordination across multiple organizations and departments such as Northwest Michigan Works! staff, NMC Public Relations Marketing and Communications, NMC Enrollment Services, and partner providers in the ten county region.
Qualifications
• BA in project management, marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, business or related field (Required)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing and communication (Required)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management (Preferred)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in website development or design (Preferred)
• Demonstrated experience in graphic design using Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, Canva, and InDesign software (Preferred)
• Demonstrated experience in producing and publishing public relations, social media and web content (Preferred)
• Advanced efficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software (Preferred)
• Experience working on search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (Preferred)
• Experience managing an organization's project and advertising activities (Preferred)
Essential Responsibilities
• (Critical) Marketing: Organizes and implements marketing campaigns that occur continuously and simultaneously, and often involve organizing between multiple divisions and organizations. Manages photography, CRM, and other documents, programs, and applications involved in promotions. Works closely with the Promotion & Marketing Coordinator.
• (Critical) Collaboration: Engages with the NoMI Attainment Collaborative in collaboration with the Grant Manager & Community Coordinator, Industry Navigator and Non Credit Transition Navigator in addressing employer needs, industry partner needs, program enrollments and student needs so that progress is aligned with the collaborative's strategic plan. Works closely and continuously with the Grant Manager & Community Coordinator, Work & Career Coordinator, director, office manager, NMC Public Relations staff, and other NMC internal and external partners to promote credential and degree pathways.
• (Critical) Industry Partnerships: Creates customized promotion and marketing as it relates to the collaborative's industry partnerships. This is critical to the development of workforce and professional training through Prosperity Region 2 education providers.
• (Critical) Work & Career: Works closely with the Work & Career Coordinator. Designs and executes the collaborative's marketing plan to include strategic support of career and contract training initiatives to grow awareness. Creates and implements targeted campaigns to promote specific collaborative initiatives as designated by the collaborative and the NMC Workforce Team. Participates on the NMC Workforce Team to elevate these efforts; create marketing collateral as required, including e-news, digital brochures, website content, social media content, and other data infographics.
• (Critical) Registration Management System: Learns and understands the registration system for Extended Education & Training. Continuously maintains and improves registration website and user experience under the guidance of the Extended Education Promotion & Marketing Coordinator and Office Manager, including analyzing usage reports, suggesting improvements, soliciting vendors as needed, and executing implementation.
• (Critical) Records & Mailing:Maintains address records for mailings and e-blasts, coordinates large mailings with mail house vendor, and supervises in-house mailing projects.
• (Very Important) Program & Partner Support: Works with the NoMI Attainment Collaborative to develop targeted marketing plans for specific programs and special events.

This position is grant funded temporary 3 years by Sixty by 30 College & Career Navigator Support Grant, ending 12/31/2027.
