Position: Consumer Loan Processor I Employment Status: Pay Grade 5 / Non-Exempt Reports to: Consumer Lending Leader Position Overview The primary purpose of this position is to assist Members First Credit Union to deliver on its mission, vision, and brand promise. Essential Duties Maintain continuing education on consumer Federal and State regulations and stay in compliance in all situations Maintain and develop product knowledge base Perform specialized clerical functions as required Fund all consumer loans through Lending 360 Process Indirect Loans according to Indirect Funding instructions Successfully obtain Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC) designation through America's Credit Unions within the first year of service with M1 Duties and Responsibilities Deliver on the Credit Union’s Service Promises in every service situation Inform members about MFCU products and services Provide prompt, professional, and courteous service to coworkers, members, and dealer partners Answer questions and provide requested information Work both independently and as part of a team to accomplish department goals Prepare and process all paperwork needed to finalize consumer loans across Origence Lending 360, Allegro Indirect, and Symitar platforms Obtain and verify proof of income and insurance; secure required documentation and signatures Set up payment methods (e.g., electronic transfers, payment books) Process account documentation in system Handle checks for dealer payoffs, insurance, financial institutions, and mail Process and update validated titles from RD 108s and paper submissions Upload dealer mail-in deals to Allegro and mail out welcome letters Review and complete Synapsis loan processing service events and LSI tickets Process GAP/insurance claim checks, update records and logs Prepare weekly Loans to Zero reports and mail lien releases Audit Skip-a-Pay transactions Monitor weekly dealer loan report Conduct daily loan audits Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications and Expectations Strive to exceed credit union, department, and personal goals Work autonomously and meet deadlines Team-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills Produce accurate and timely results Maintain open communication and professional presentation Demonstrate deep knowledge of credit union products, services, and philosophy Communicate clearly and concisely Maintain familiarity with State and Federal lending regulations Attend required education and training Possess flexibility for changing work hours and locations Exercise courtesy and diplomacy in internal and external interactions Effectively apply FiCEP financial counseling concepts Physical Requirements Ability to move or transport up to 25 pounds Able to remain stationary for 2–4 hours at a time Work Environment Maintain a neat and organized workspace Routinely clean and disinfect surfaces and equipment Secure all confidential documents and workspaces when unattended Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum of one year of experience with a financial institution One to twelve months of related experience Working knowledge of loan processing and credit analysis required Ability to operate 10-key calculator and typewriter Proficient in Adobe, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Qualifications Education Required: High School or better Experience Required: One year experience with a financial institution Similar or related experience Working knowledge of loan processing and credit analysis Equal Opportunity Employer Protected Veterans / Individuals with DisabilitiesThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
