Applications are due by September 30, 2025 and will be reviewed on a rolling basis. A subset of applicants will be invited to conduct a Zoom interview; from that group, a select number will be invited for in-person interviews and a job talk. In-person interviews are planned to be completed by the end of 2025. Applicants should send the following materials:
1) Curriculum vitae: this should include information on the applicant's education and training, publications, funding, presentations at conferences, teaching and mentoring activities, media coverage, and service activities (e.g., local or national committee work, serving as a peer reviewer for journals).
2) Cover letter (2 page maximum, single-spaced, 12-point font). The cover letter should include information on:
- The reasons for the applicant's interest in joining the CHEAR Center
- The applicant's research focus to date and planned research agenda as a faculty member

The Susan B. Meister Child Health Evaluation and Research (CHEAR) Center in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Michigan Medical School is seeking applications from a primary care pediatrician for a full-time, research-focused faculty position at the Clinical Assistant Professor level. Position Overview
- Appointment: Full-time position at the Clinical Assistant Professor level. If applicants have a career development award, there is potential for them to come on the instructional track (tenure track) at the Assistant Professor level.
- Effort Distribution: 75% protected time for research and scholarly activity; 25% clinical time (equivalent roughly to 1 day of clinic per week).
- Clinical Assignment: The candidate will practice at one of University of Michigan's 9 primary care clinics.
- Sponsorship: sponsorship is not available for this position.
Qualifications:
- M.D. or equivalent, with board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics
- Demonstrated interest or experience in pediatric health services or outcomes research
- Strong potential for developing an independent research portfolio
- Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Michigan
