Position Summary:
Under general supervision of the Installation Manager, this position is responsible for the installation of indoor and outdoor signage, as well as a variety of tasks related to the production of signs and graphics in our sign production facility. We are a full service, custom sign shop that provides quality products and services to our awesome customers. Our team is small but mighty. We have fun, work hard and love what we do. Attitude, dependability, positivity, and work ethic are key factors of success in this role.
A team member in this role will primarily work on installation of outdoor and interior signage. Other work will include help fabricating and assembling various types of signs and vinyl. Work Arrangement: This position is able to work onsite, at our Lansing Headquarters.
Schedule:Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

Compensation & Benefits:
This position starts at $17.00+/hour, dependent on experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Read and understand written job instructions.
Use power and manual tools to install finished signage and graphics projects to established Foresight Group and customer standards.
Use post hole digger for holes varying in size from 8" to full foundation size (4'x4'x4' deep).
Use post driver for U-Channel posts.
Load and unload equipment and parts in and out of job sites.
Read construction-style blueprints to ensure proper installation of signage.
Pour and work with redi-mix concrete for post foundation installation.
Assist in pedestrian ground control on aerial lift job sites.
Comfortable working independently without direct supervision for extended periods of time.
Aid in other production tasks as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Valid Michigan driver's license (preferably, a chauffeur's license for driving the Utility Trucks)
Experience in construction or a skilled trade is preferred but not required.
Strong customer relations, service skills, and a positive & patient attitude imperative.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to operate a computer, including Microsoft suite and internet browsers.
The ability to perform basic Shop Math.
The ability to read and use a tape measure.
Comfortable working with power tools, including saws, drills, and angle grinders.
Comfortable working from heights up to 55 feet using aerial lifting equipment, ladders and scaffolding.
Comfortable working outdoors year-round.
Comfortable working in an occasionally noisy environment.
Ability to adapt quickly to a dynamic work environment.
Motivated, self-starter who can work independently.
Willing to work overtime during peak business times - including occasional weekends.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Comfortable performing tedious tasks - able to perform repetitive tasks for long periods of time.
This position requires onsite presence at the employee's assigned location for all scheduled shifts.
May be required to remain standing, seated or stooped in a stationary position for an extended period.
Ability to operate standard office technology, equipment, and tools, which includes frequent use of a computer.
Frequently needs to move about inside or outside of an office area.
Exposure to potentially hazardous conditions, such as working from heights. Receives detailed instructions and procedures to be followed to minimize the exposure.
Frequently moves equipment or materials weighing up to 50 pounds for transport between areas of buildings.
This position will require frequent off-site installation work.
Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical.
This position requires the ability to refrain from tobacco use while at customer locations and while inside company vehicles, including smoking, vaping, and chewing tobacco, in accordance with company policies.
