General Summary:
Saginaw Public Schools Teachers are responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing an instructional program that promotes active student learning and development. Teachers are expected to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to fulfill their academic potential. All teachers are aligned with the district’s mission for rapid school Turnaround and sustained academic excellence.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging instruction

Develop lesson plans and learning schemes that meet established standards

Communicate learning objectives clearly

Prepare instructional environments and provide access to materials and technology

Differentiate instruction to meet students’ diverse needs

Monitor and guide students in using learning tools

Use technology to enhance instruction and engagement

Track and assess student performance and development

Assign, grade, and provide feedback on coursework

Maintain comprehensive and accurate student records

Generate reports as required by district policies and regulations

Maintain discipline and classroom management aligned with district guidelines

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited institution

Must meet all teacher education requirements of the school, district, and state
-
State of Michigan teacher certification with required subject/area endorsements
-
Relevant teaching experience preferred
