General Summary:
The Behavior Interventionist will participate in the development, implementation, and ongoing operation of a comprehensive leadership, civic engagement, and service-learning program. The Interventionist will work closely with academic and community partners to integrate learning, service, and leadership to empower students to become socially responsible decision-makers.

Physical Demands:

Duties and Responsibilities:
-
Collaborate with staff to deliver student and parent intervention support (MISS, conflict resolution, attendance plans, etc.)

Conduct individual and small group interventions for academic and social success

Partner with staff to help students adapt to high school expectations

Support implementation of positive behavioral support plans

Identify and refer students needing counseling and intensive services
-
Monitor behavior, attendance, and academic progress of Title IA students
-
Provide direct behavioral and academic interventions, including support meetings and tutoring
-
Facilitate conflict resolution and peer mediation programs
-
Support school counselors and social workers to maintain a positive school climate

Co-develop behavior support programs with instructional staff

Collaborate with professionals in a multi-agency environment
-
Support Title IA students in reaching behavioral and academic goals

Enforce district discipline policies as needed

Maintain records and certifications for Title IA services
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
-
Experience in social work, counseling, behavioral intervention, or related field required
-
Bachelor's degree preferred
-
Experience working with at-risk student populations
-
Experience supporting behaviorally challenged students
-
Experience working with students and families in home and school settings
Special Requirements:

Willingness to learn new technologies and responsibilities as systems evolve

Participation in required training sessions
