General Summary:
Saginaw Public Schools Teachers are responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential. Duties and Responsibilities:

Implement engaging instructional activities

Conduct developmental screenings and assessments

Write IEPs and IFSPs with appropriate goals and objectives

Perform additional duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

Valid State of Michigan teaching certificate required
-
Must have a special education endorsement and a major/minor in early childhood education or child development

Knowledge of preschool special education philosophy and curriculum
-
Understanding of instructional strategies, assessments, and behavioral supports
-
Strong collaboration and communication skills
-
Ability to work independently and lead others
-
Proactive interaction with parents

Familiarity with state standards and assessment tools
