Position: Member Service Representative I
Employment Status: Pay Grade 4 / Non-Exempt
Reports to: Branch Leader
Position Overview
The primary purpose of this position is to assist Members First Credit Union to deliver on its mission, vision, and brand promise. You will do this by living out our core values in every service contact to both internal and external members. Essential Duties

Receive and process member transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, and account maintenance

Collaborate with branch staff to cross-sell and increase member share of wallet

Follow all security and compliance procedures during transactions

This is an in-branch role requiring availability Monday–Friday 8 a.m.–5 p.m., with Saturday business hours and occasional after-hours meetings or trainings

Successfully obtain Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC) designation through America’s Credit Unions within first year
Duties and Responsibilities

Create opportunities for expanded member relationships by identifying needs and recommending appropriate credit union solutions

Remind delinquent members about payment due dates

Maintain sales and service performance expectations

Handle member inquiries related to accounts, statements, and transaction histories

Process check orders, CTRs, cashier’s checks, money orders, and Visa gift/travel cards

Answer phones, process mail, and perform clerical support for other departments

Participate in monthly coaching and development sessions

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required

Experience operating a personal computer

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Knowledge of or ability to learn credit union systems, products, and procedures
Note: Education and experience requirements may be waived for Co-Op students.
