DUTIES: FCA US LLC seeks a Model-Based Tools Engineer based out of our U.S. headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan; however, this is a purely remote position whereby the employee may reside anywhere within the U.S. This Position requires up to 20% Domestic and International travel. Hybrid and Driveline Control Module Core Design Engineer is responsible for Designing, developing, verifying, and releasing of embedded automotive propulsion systems electronic controllers for use on Stellantis vehicles. Responsible for driveline or hybrid electronic controllers. Developing module specifications, analyzing failure mode effects, developing test specifications, reviewing circuit designs with our suppliers, and supporting the release of component(s) into the Stellantis releasing system. Participating in issue resolution activities during development, vehicle launch, and warranty periods, supporting the resolution of plant and field quality issues with corporate supplier quality engineering team and purchasing team. Support efforts to incorporate module(s) into Stellantis vehicle electrical systems and work with suppliers on new module package designs to conform to Stellantis vehicle under-hood and interior environments; Working with suppliers to prototype possible cost saving or development issue solutions in hardware and/or software. Leading and participate in technical coordination meetings, trips to suppliers for component technical reviews and work with Stellantis driveline/transmission department, propulsion systems controls, systems, program management, and core groups in the gathering of module hardware requirements, issue resolution and diagnostic development.
