Duties and Responsibilities:
-
Schedule and coordinate IEP, MET, and Manifestation Determination meetings with parental notification
-
Maintain accurate records including B-worksheets, attendance, and discipline
-
Advise administrators on student disabilities and their impact on discipline
-
Maintain up-to-date IEP and discipline documentation for administrative access
-
Provide parents with regular IEP progress updates
-
Prepare, plan, and organize IEPs with measurable goals and objectives
-
Lead IEP meetings for assigned caseload
-
Deliver instructional services tailored to student needs
-
Provide direct instruction based on IEPs
-
Support general education staff in accommodating special education students
-
Deliver supplemental curriculum-based instruction
-
Maintain service schedules for each student, documenting frequency and duration
-
Help coordinate course scheduling for special education students
-
Collaborate with MET team for evaluations and placements
-
Align instructional strategies with district-wide goals
-
Sustain consistent communication with staff and families
-
Stay current on changes in special education law and practices
-
Report student transfers or address changes to the special education office
-
Submit paperwork to records office within ten (10) days of IEP meeting

Perform additional duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited institution
-
Meets School, District, and State requirements for professional teacher education
-
Holds proper credential or certification for assigned teaching subject
-
Possesses required state certification and endorsements
-
Relevant classroom teaching experience preferred
