PDW Performance Driven Workforce is now hiring Full Time Chauffer Drivers for an Automotive Tier 1 Supplier in Farmington, MI! Chaffer Drivers will operate a commercial vehicle to deliver products in-state or out-of-state. Drivers will be responsible for securing loads for delivery and pick up, as well as coordinating with the dispatching team. This Full Time Chauffer Driver position offers an AM Day and is based in Farmington, MI. Candidates meeting the requirements for this This Full Time Chauffer Driver position below are strongly encouraged to apply. AM Day shift available.
Responsibilities of Drivers:
- Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers across the country
- Load and secure products and vehicles for safe transport
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues and check fluids daily
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
- Retain fuel, toll and hotel log and receipts
- Maneuver trucks into load or unload positions
- Report defects, accidents or violations immediately
- Participate in daily shop organization and clean-up
Shift:
- AM Day Shift: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm (Monday – Friday)
Requirements of drivers:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Chauffeur Driver’s License
- Excellent motor vehicle driving record
- Travel Requirements: 90%
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred:
- Ability to work overtime as needed, including weekends
