The Opportunity:
A GIS Analysist will primarily be working with our Surveying Service group and demonstrate project management and technical skills.
Responsibilities:
- Exceptional ability to synthesize data and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with other team members and clients.
- Collaborate with other service groups to develop solutions and implement best practices for geospatial data solutions.
- Utilize the latest in Ersi’s desktop and online software for data management and data communications.
- Create focused and effective maps for Esri
- Publish and manage map features and services in ArcGIS Online and Enterprise.
- Work with clients in the development and implementation of Esri AEC Delivery portals to support specific project needs.
- Manage geospatial data in various formats, ensuring data quality and development of comprehensive metadata.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest GIS trends and technologies and contribute to shaping the future direction of the team's geospatial strategy.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or better in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Data Science or related Field
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with Esri ArcGIS products
- Experience with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise
- GISP certification preferred not required
- Has competency using computer operating systems and MS Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills to effectively interact with clients, team members, and supervisors, conveying technical information clearly.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, manage workloads, maintain accurate and detailed record-keeping skills, documenting problem resolutions.
- Effective interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and team members, fostering positive working relationships, customer-centric approach to provide excellent service to clients, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed promptly and professionally.
- Must be able to understand and adapt to change and react productively to frequent interruptions and changing conditions.
- Basic construction competencies including ability to determine location from surface features and landmarks by interpretation from surveys, road maps, aerial photos, topographic maps, and geologic maps; understanding construction stakes set by others, and color markings of utility companies.
- Experience with Python (ArcPy), HTML, and Arcade coding languages preferred but not required.
- Demonstrates ethical conduct, maintaining confidentiality and ensuring safety and security in all aspects of work, strict adherence to safety protocols and guidelines, fostering a safe working environment for yourself and others.
