We believe in each other and find joy in our work, never stop learning or growing and we are guided by strong character, ethics, and integrity. We make a difference. Our dedication to diversity, inclusion, and universal access underscores our commitment to fostering an inclusive educational culture. If you seek an opportunity to work with a great team of faculty and staff committed to student success in a professionally driven environment, then consider the following opportunity.
The faculty member will provide instruction in courses within the Manufacturing Engineering Technologies (MET) program, aligning with current industry practices and evolving teaching methodologies. A strong foundation in machine tool technologies—as well as mechanical and electrical systems—is highly desired. This includes, but is not limited to, manual and CNC machining, CNC programming, CAD/CAM/solid modeling, and machine tool maintenance and repair. Preference will be given to candidates with a solid background in CAD drafting, design, manufacturing, or industrial design-related work experience.
In collaboration with existing full-time faculty, the selected candidate will contribute to the ongoing organization and advancement of the MET program. Excellent communication skills and computer proficiency are essential. Responsibilities will include active participation in departmental and college-wide committees, with a focus on continuous program improvement and the achievement of student learning outcomes.
Additional duties will involve curriculum development, course and program coordination, student advising and tutoring, peer mentoring and evaluation, and active engagement in College initiatives. The candidate must demonstrate a commitment to serving a diverse student population and must thrive in a collaborative, team-based academic environment that embraces the mission and values of the community college.
This position may require evening and weekend teaching assignments as part of a flexible instructional schedule.
Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.
Final candidates will be subject to a criminal background check as part of the employment process.
