As a chiropractic assistant, you will be responsible for helping manage the day-to-day operations of a busy and growing practice 35-40 hours per week. You must exemplify an outgoing, friendly personality. You must be willing to learn tasks and execute with detail, treating various types of patients. The position offers the opportunity to directly assist the provider and patients. We are looking for an individual who is reliable and passionate about not only helping but also passionate about non-invasive health care and business growth. The position includes direct involvement in patient care as well as clerical and administrative responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist patients at the front desk, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Manage appointment scheduling and insurance verification efficiently.
- Maintain accurate medical records and handle clerical tasks as needed.
- Process medical collections and communicate with patients regarding billing inquires.
- Utilize computer systems for data entry and patient management, ensuring compliance with HIAA regulations.
- Assist the doctor in taking radiographic x-rays and helping with patient therapies.
- Report daily statistics utilizing spreadsheets and email communications.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the office space.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in health care of other related fields is preferred.
- Leadership skills such as professionalism and staff training.
- Reliability with punctuality and attendance.
- Ability to build rapport with physician, patients and staff.
- Ability to quickly learn insurance verification and patient collection procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer literate with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized at all times.
- Goal-oriented and motivated to achieve and exceed goals.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with a sense of urgency.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Previous experience with insurance verification preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
