Position: Industrial Arts Teacher, Full Time
Position Beginning: 2025–2026 School Year
Pay Rate: Per MEA contract based on experience
Qualifications:

Candidate must hold a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with an endorsement in Industrial Technology (IX) and Industrial Technology Education (TE), or applicable CTE endorsement.

Candidates who can meet the requirements for annual CTE authorization through 4,000 hours of recent and relevant experience per MDE guidelines will also be considered.

Must demonstrate proficiency in usage and application of technology, including a variety of metalworking techniques such as sheet metal fabrication, gas and arc welding, forging, and machining.

Experience using technical drawings to produce projects; CNC & CAD/CAM systems; hydraulically equipped machining and fabrication; and advanced/complex welding techniques.

Ability to design and implement lessons and activities targeted to standards with appropriate success criteria.

Ability to implement effective strategies for student engagement, classroom management, and culture.

Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum and pedagogy, as well as information technology content.

Proficient in assessment for student learning.

Ability to develop and maintain appropriate relationships and rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.

Excellent organization, communication, and professional collaboration skills.

Demonstrated proficiency in usage and application of technology, preferably the Google platform.

Must demonstrate a positive attitude and ability to work well with staff, parents, and students.
