Position: Bus Driver
Position Beginning: Immediately Upon Hire
Reports To: Michelle Wardlow, Transportation Supervisor
Salary: $20–$23 per hour, depending on experience
Hours: 4–5 hours per day, on rotation for extra trips such as sports and field trips
Job Summary:
The School Bus Driver is responsible for safely transporting students to and from school and extracurricular activities. The driver will follow established routes and schedules, ensuring the safety and well-being of all passengers.
Qualifications:

Must be an existing employee or be able to satisfactorily pass:

Must be at least 21 years of age

Preferred: Commercial license with “P” and “S” endorsements and meets all state legal requirements for school bus drivers

Must have completed or be willing to complete the Michigan School Bus Driver Safety Education Course

Must be able to follow a map and maintain good discipline among riders

Must have an excellent driving record, free from chargeable accidents and/or multiple traffic violations

Must demonstrate patience, consideration, an even temperament, and calmness under stress

Must possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with parents, students, and staff while maintaining confidentiality
