Job Summary
We are seeking a Chemist to join our dynamic team and contribute to the research, development, and commercialization of our advanced materials. This role offers exposure to a wide range of applications and the opportunity to make a tangible impact on our products and customers. A cover letter must be submitted for consideration.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in formulating and testing new paint and coating systems.
- Conduct laboratory experiments to improve product performance.
- Prepare and analyze samples using established test methods and SOPs.
- Set up and maintain laboratory equipment for testing and development.
- Document and summarize experimental data for team review.
- Communicate findings clearly with team members, highlighting unexpected results.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment.
- Support the development of new product ideas through research and experimentation.
Skills Needed
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Self-motivated with a proactive, “get-it-done” mindset.
Knowledge Required
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related field.
- Understanding of chemical formulation and testing methods.
- Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols and procedures.
- Knowledge of coatings, paints, or advanced materials is a plus.
Ability to Implement
- Consistently record and report accurate data.
- Follow SOPs and adapt to new testing methods as needed.
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Learn quickly and ask insightful questions to deepen understanding.
- Translate experimental results into actionable insights.
