American Battery Solutions has a full-time opening for a Software Engineer in Lake Orion, Michigan.\n\nJob Summary\n\nThe Software Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and testing data analysis and visualization platform, as well as generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, to support internal teams at American Battery Solutions (ABS). This role establishes benchmarks for evaluating the performance of data analysis processes and AI solutions and develops test cases to validate core functionalities of the ABS data platform and Battery Management Systems (BMS). In addition, the Software Engineer develops and maintains various AI-driven and data analysis tools to enhance operational efficiency. This position plays a critical role in enabling teams across ABS to conduct rapid analysis, troubleshoot issues, and optimize the performance of internal battery products. \n\nResponsibilities\n\n * Design, develop, and test web applications for internal and customer-facing data analytics and visualization, utilizing modern web technologies and frameworks. \n * Design, develop, and test generative AI applications and tools aimed at improving operational efficiency and enhancing productivity across teams and departments.\n * Develop and maintain diagrams, flowcharts, and models to document and visualize the structure and functionality of existing code across BMS, Data tools, and AI tools project.\n * Recommend upgrades for existing systems and programs.\n * Implement and maintain scalable, efficient, and reliable back-end systems to support data processing and analysis for both internal and external users.\n * Designs, develops, and optimizes front-end components to support high-performance data visualization tools, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly experience for stakeholders.\n * Maintains program functionality and stability during software maintenance and testing activities. \n * Document all components and functionalities of systems or applications to serve as comprehensive references for future upgrades and maintenance\n * Review and refine the development process to identify and resolve bugs, as well as address client and consumer concerns. \n * Adhere to federal and state regulations.\n * Adhere to all company policies, processes, and procedures.\n * Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned. \n * Predictable and reliable attendance. \n\nPosition Qualifications\n\n * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent degree.\n * Advanced degree in Computer Science preferred.\n * Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in software application development.\n * Proficient in software application development, coding, troubleshooting, and maintenance.\n * Adept in data processing and statistical analysis; particularly with lithium-ion test data.\n * Familiar with artificial intelligence and large language model applications.\n * Effective communicator, capable of concisely presenting highly technical test data to internal and external customers.\n * Self-motivated problem solver, pays attention to the details, challenges the status quo, and strives for continuous improvement.\n * Contributes to team growth by collaborating with cross-function teams and completing projects in a timely manner.\n * Proven ability to analyze problems and find solutions.\n\nKey Competencies\n\n * Customer Focus: Anticipates and takes action to meet customer needs.
