Houghton Building Supply is looking for someone dependable, detail-oriented, and people-friendly to take charge of our growing rental department as an Equipment Rental Manager in Houghton, Michigan.

- $20.00 – $27.00 per hour starting pay based on experience.

WHAT YOU WILL DO.
You’ll be the go-to person for keeping our rental operations running smoothly. You’ll be responsible for:
- Overseeing day-to-day rental operations and scheduling.
- Using our Quipli rental software (we’ll train you) for managing inventory, pricing, and bookings.
- Ensuring rental equipment is maintained and ready to go.
- Communicating with customers and handling check-ins/outs.
- Confirming contracts are signed and insurance is in place.
- Coordinating tasks for yard staff and delivery drivers.
- Keeping records and rental brochures up to date.
- Lending a hand at the front counter or on the phone when needed.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.
- You’re friendly, dependable, and love working with people.
- You’ve got strong attention to detail and can juggle multiple tasks.
- You’re comfortable working outdoors and don’t mind getting your hands dirty.
- You can lift, push, or pull up to 75 lbs safely (with assistance).
- You have some knowledge of equipment operations and loading/unloading.
- You’re good with Microsoft Word and Excel and learning new technology is a breeze for you.
- Bonus if you have a Chauffeur’s License or experience with Epicor retail software.
