Position Title: Cook
Location: Middle/High School
Start Date: 2025–2026 School Year
Classification: Term Position (Not a new position)
Reports To: Food Service Director and/or Superintendent of Schools
Work Schedule:

Hours: 4 hours per day (9:15 AM – 1:15 PM or as assigned)

Days: Monday – Friday, on student attendance days only
Compensation & Benefits:

Union Transfer: Wages per Master Contract

New Hire Rate: $15.85 per hour

Benefits: Eligible for Category 3 benefits
Responsibilities:

Prepare food as directed
-
Assist with all kitchen-related tasks including preparation and cleanup

Maintain accurate production records, food deposits, and documentation

Follow directives from the Food Service Director and/or Superintendent
Qualifications:

High school diploma and minimum 10th-grade reading level
-
SafeServ Certified or ability to obtain certification within 90 days

Experience preparing and serving food to large groups

Knowledgeable in volume cooking

Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

Able to maintain composure and self-control when working with students, staff, and families

Demonstrated professionalism and positive interpersonal skills

Must meet all job-specific qualifications as outlined in the job description
