Required:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, business or other related field from an accredited college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

A minimum of four (4) years of project management experience in technical environments.

Leadership experience managing multiple projects concurrently.
-
Possess a high-level of emotional intelligence, evident in leadership, relationships, influence, decisions, political and cultural awareness, negotiation, conflict management, and mentorship.

Familiar with the principles of Project Management as defined by the PMBOK Guide, 6th Edition. Working knowledge of multiple project methodologies, E.g., waterfall, design/build, iterative.

Ability to objectively assess situations or circumstances using all the relevant information and apply experience to come to conclusions or make sound decisions.

Background demonstrating knowledge and expertise acquired through progressive experience to resolve critical issues and/or unique conditions.

Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.

Predictable and reliable work schedule.

Ability to effectively work in remote and open office environments.

Must have valid Michigan driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred:

Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent project management certification or a specialized technical certification/licensing or willing to gain certification within 2 years.

Experience in electric or water production, transmission, distribution or in utility facilities

Knowledge of engineering or professional experience working with engineers

Experience managing small-sized projects ($50,000 - $5 million)

Proficient with Microsoft Office and scheduling software (Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project), and capable with eBuilder (or a similar project/construction management software).
