Mobile Crisis Response BSW

We are the behavioral health community organization responsible for the delivery of mental health, substance abuse treatment coordination, and developmental disabilities services for Kent County. We need individuals who are passionate about making a difference by helping others.
We are seeking a Mobile Crisis Response BSW to provide intervention services as a member of a community-based crisis response team serving clients and families in Kent County. This position completes psycho-social risk assessments in crisis situations, provides crisis intervention services, and coordinates services with police, courts, schools, and other community agencies.
This position is 40 hours a week, working a four-week rotating schedule, with varying shifts including 7:00am to 5:00pm, 8:00am to 6:00pm and 10:00am to 8pm. This position will work one weekend a month. There are holiday requirements for this position. This position is based in-person at 790 Fuller Ave NE Grand Rapids, Michigan 49503.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work. Licensed in the State of Michigan as a licensed or limited licensed bachelor’s social worker OR be eligible for a limited license as stated above and obtain that licensure within 3 months of hire.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job related use
- Thorough working knowledge of the practices and principles of psychological, emotional, and sociological assessment
- Thorough working knowledge of professional ethics and standards of practice
- Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, email, database management, and data entry skills
- Demonstrated experience communicating clearly and concisely in stressful situations
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and skills and capabilities of bridging language/cultural barriers to Network180 services within diverse communities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/substance use disorders valued
- Full Licensure in the State of Michigan as a licensed bachelor’s social worker
- One year experience in community-based crisis intervention
- Three years post undergraduate experience
- Spanish speaking
