Group children with their primary caregiver.

Staff inform the office when supplies are needed for art, sensory, gloves, wipes, and cleaning supplies.

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the classroom.

Communicate with all parents regarding the development of their child.

Ensure the room is equipped with age-appropriate equipment and organized for a quality child development program.

Develop weekly lesson plans including sensory, stories and music, art, science, math, small and large motor activities that stimulate physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development.

Post any allergies and maintain a current list of formula/breast milk types.

Oversee all caregivers ensuring the best interests of all children are met.

Follow the Bay City Public Schools Early Childhood Centers Employee Handbook.

Implement Licensing Rules for Child Care Centers through the State of Michigan.

Maintain knowledge of Bay City Public Schools Program Guide and Health Policies and Procedures.

Hold current Adult and Pediatric CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications.

Follow OSHA procedures for blood-borne pathogens including diaper procedures.

Participate in mandatory continuing education staff meetings.

Practice all emergency procedures routinely.

Arrive to work on time, organized, prepared, and ready to meet children’s needs.

Maintain child-friendly, respectful conversations.

Uphold professional attitudes in demeanor and relationships while on duty.
